Our Story
Bred With Passion, Raised With Love
We are a small, in-home Ragdoll cattery in Columbus, Ohio — dedicated to producing healthy, well-socialized kittens that become cherished family members.
How It Started
From Buckeye Fans to Ragdoll Breeders
It started the way most great things do — with a cat that completely stole our hearts. When we brought home our first Ragdoll, we were instantly captivated by her gentle nature, her stunning blue eyes, and the way she followed us everywhere like a loyal pup. We knew we had found something special.
As lifelong Columbus residents and proud Ohio State Buckeyes fans, we wanted our cattery to reflect the same values we hold dear: dedication, pride, and a commitment to doing things the right way. Buckeye Rag Dolls was born from that passion.
Today, we raise every litter in our home — not in cages, not in a separate facility. Our kittens grow up surrounded by family, children, and the sounds of everyday life. They are handled from birth, socialized with love, and prepared to thrive in any home.
Our Philosophy
Quality Over Quantity
In-Home Raised
Every kitten is born and raised in our living space — never in cages or separate facilities. They are underfoot from day one, learning to trust people and adapt to household life.
Health First
We health-test all of our breeding cats for HCM (hypertrophic cardiomyopathy) and other genetic conditions. We will never knowingly breed a cat with a heritable health issue.
Ethical Breeding
We limit our litters to ensure every kitten gets the attention it deserves. We are not a kitten mill — we are a family that loves cats and takes the responsibility of breeding seriously.
Lifelong Support
When you adopt from us, you join our family. We are always available for questions, advice, and support — whether it is your kitten's first week home or years down the road.
Our Credentials
Registered, Tested & Trusted
TICA Registered
The International Cat Association — all of our breeding cats and kittens are fully registered with TICA, the world's largest genetic registry of pedigreed cats.
HCM Tested Parents
All of our breeding cats are screened annually for Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) by a board-certified cardiologist. Results are available upon request.
2-Year Health Guarantee
Every kitten comes with a written 2-year genetic health guarantee. We stand behind the health of every cat we produce.
Veterinary Checked
Each kitten receives a full veterinary examination before going to their new home, along with age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming.
Microchipped
All kittens are microchipped before leaving our care, providing lifetime identification and peace of mind.
